Brief description:

The project segment "Gütersloh Foundation for Individuals with Mental Illnesses and Disabilities" focuses on a foundation pursuing the long-term goal of strengthening the often inadequate financial circumstances of social firms in the Gütersloh area as well as of supporting the establishment of new firms. The goal of the project segment is to sensitise sponsors and potential sponsors from the region to the existence of the foundation by means of extensive public relations (regional "Social Oscar", fundraising jog-a-thon of the Gütersloh schools, exhibits, etc.) as well as recruiting investors to supply venture capital, develop a sponsor ring, promote contract procurement for social firms and increase the capital of the foundation. In addition, social firms receive non-material and financial assistance during the start-up and expansion phases and existing jobs are secured. The "Gütersloh foundation" is to serve as a model for comparable initiatives in other regions.
