Treuhandstelle e.V.
Brief description: This project segment builds on past experiences with so-called "recovery funds" in the 80s and 90s. At that time, participating social enterprises contributed risk-bearing capital as a self-help measure. The approaches developed then will now be adjusted to incorporate prevailing economic and legal conditions. The objective is to develop tools designed to master the specific financing tasks of social enterprises, such as solvency problems, short-term or medium-term financing, accepting security collateral or depositing securities, by focusing on self-help measures and co-operating with public offices. This will be achieved by evaluating past experiences with the so-called "recovery funds" as well as by mapping and analysing the needs and problems of social enterprises. Based on these results, social enterprises and public offices will jointly develop plans to make risk-bearing capital available to all social enterprises, not only to individual institutions and organisations. |
