Brief description:

Kette e.V. cooperates with businesses from the telecommunications technology and food service sectors. In the telecommunications sector - for which the social firm takes over assembly jobs from the cooperating private enterprises - the private enterprise provides the technical know-how as well as initial expert instruction for the employees of the social firm. The social firm deploys its workforce. On the one hand, it attempts to create permanent employment, on the other, to place trained employees within commercial enterprises if necessary. In the food service sector, chef training is provided by the partner of the social firm, the privately-owned enterprise Schlosshotel Bensberg (a 5-star hotel). Future chefs can complete part of their training at Schloss Bensberg's highly acclaimed restaurant. The trainees gain valuable experience and greatly improve their chances of finding commensurate jobs. The hotel is gaining first experiences with employing severely disabled people, which has broken down prejudices. Both partners are looking into the possibility of expanding cooperation in the future with additional training programs for waiters as well as hotel and housekeeping staff.
